Listening to a local radio station this morning on the way to work-- they were asking people to call about what they were eating when they were poor. Some were funny and some were just gross. But was amazing is that most people called and said that they did not think they were poor, they just thought it was common. Most callers would say even though we were eating this or that, we were a blessed family.
This is another example of how we do not always have to have the best or the finest things to make us happy. God, family and friends go a long way to making people happy and life wonderful.
A lot of times just throwing a meal together and having friends or family over is usually better than having that expensive meal (isn't that right, Everybody's Mama and Mama Hen).
If you just take time to stop and look we all have blessings all around us. Lets take time today to stop and find at least one blessing.I bet if we look we can find more than one.

That right. That's what I meant yesterday by contentment. It's so easy to get caught up in the things we DON'T have, while in fact we are RICH in blessings. Especially the blessing of wonderful family, and great friends!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, and we told you this was addicting!!!!
Absolutely! There will always be something that has the ability to rob you of your joy and contentment if you let it. The key is to take notice of God's hand at work around you. :)
