The Mayonnaise Jar
When things in your life seem, almost too much to handle, When 24 Hours in a day is not enough, Remember the mayonnaise jar and 2 cups of coffee. A professor stood before his philosophy class And had some items in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly, He picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students, if the jar was full. They agreed that it was. The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open Areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was. The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous 'yes.' The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed. 'Now,' said the professor, as the laughter subsided, 'I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things - family, children, health, Friends, and Favorite passions - Things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, Your life would still be full. The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, house, and car. The sand is everything else --The small stuff. 'If you put the sand into the jar first,' He continued, 'there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, You will never have room for the things that are important to you. So... Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play With your children. Take time to get medical checkups. Take your partner out to dinner. There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal. 'Take care of the golf balls first -- The things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.' One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented. The professor smiled.. 'I'm glad you asked'. It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend.' Please share this with other "Golf Balls"

Perspective

One day , the father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the express purpose of showing him how poor people live.
They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family.
On their return from their trip , the father asked his son , "How was the trip?"
"It was great , Dad."
"Did you see how poor people live?" the father asked.
"Oh yeah , " said the son.
"So , tell me , what did you learn from the trip?" asked the father.
The son answered:
"I saw that we have one dog and they had four.
We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creek that has no end.
We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night.
Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon.
We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond our sight.
We have servants who serve us , but they serve others.
We buy our food , but they grow theirs.
We have walls around our property to protect us , they have friends to protect them."
The boy's father was speechless.
Then his son added , "Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are."
Isn't perspective a wonderful thing?
"Life is too short and friends are too few."
I appreciate each of you, thanks for being you!

Breast Cancer Awarness
As many of you understand we as women have to take care of our family, friends, the house, the grocery shopping, the bill, the laundry and on and on; but so often we forget about ourselves. I ask each of you to take time out for yourselves and take time for your yearly exams; your monthly self exams and your mammograms if old enough for them.
My mother is a two time survivor from breast cancer, I also have several aunts that have had breast cancer. A little about my mother she had been one year for her exam and mammogram and went back the next year for her routine exams again and she was diagnosed with stage 3 of an aggressive breast cancer. She had the surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation treatments. Was doing well and keeping up with all of her routine exams and she was almost at her five year remission and she was diagnosed again with breast cancer of a total different form and a form that was not as aggressive as the 1st round, so she had the surgery and is taking the chemotherapy pill for the next five years. She is almost to her 3rd year of remission again. She is doing well.
I am very lucky that God has blessed my mother and my family with the cancer and the health. You say that you are blessed because of the cancer, yes because it brought my family back to being closer again and gave my mother a different outlook on life, she understands that God gave her not only one chance but two. We live our life each day from what we have learned and shared it with everyone that we can. I am a big fan of take care of yourself and get your exams so that you can be around to take care of your family.
God bless each survivor with another day and bless all their families also.

I Am a 'Kept' Women?
You see, there were a few times when I thought I would lose my mind,
But GOD kept me sane. (Isa. 26:3)
There were times when I thought I could go on no longer,
But the LORD kept me moving. (Gen 28:15)
At times, I've wanted to lash out at those whom I felt had done me wrong,
But the LORD kept my mouth shut. (Ps. 13)
Sometimes, I think the money just isn't enough,
But GOD has helped me to keep the lights on, the water on, the car paid, the house paid, etc.., (Matt. 6:25 -34)
When I thought I would fall,
HE kept me up.
When I thought I was weak,
HE kept me strong! (I Pet. 5:7, Matt. 11:28-30)
I could go on and on and on,
but I'm sure you hear me!
I'm blessed to be 'kept.'Are you...or do you know a 'kept' woman ?
Just thought I would pass this on to my bloggy friends because I believe they are 'kept' women and to you to let you know that you are 'Kept' I'm Kept by the Love and Grace of God! I am indeed a 'kept' woman and praise God for it!

Information that was sent via email to me.....It is worth praying for and seeing what we can do.....
H.R. 3200 section 2511 of the Health Care Bill that President Obama is trying to pass states that they will put a Planned Parenthood Facility in every Public School system across the U.S. In case you didn't know ( I had no idea) Planned Parenthood is responsible for the most abortions in the U.S. Since this will be part of the Health Care Plan, that means your tax money will be paying for these abortion clinics in the schools of your daughters, grandchildren, nieces, ect.... This is not good at all. Think about the message it will be sending to our young ones on this very important issue and on the topic of sexual activity. Please don't overlook this...it is not in the news b/c the "powers that be" in Washington don't want us to know all the things involved in this plan....You can do three very important things to help this not to happen. Pray about it daily. God has the power to stop all this from happening if we will simply ask him. Also please take a few minutes to write ! or call your Congressman and Senators and let them know you are against this Health Care Plan. Finally forward this to everyone you know so others can become aware of this horrible idea.

Needing Prayer
As many of you read the blog "My Peacefully Chaotic Home" and have been keeping up with everything that has been going on, there has been more added to their plates. The Fisher Man and Everybody's Mama had gone to see a lady from the church whom had just lost her mom before church and they went to leave and Everybody's Mama foot slipped off the step and she fell. They thought that she had broken her ankle, but after a long wait at the hospital, the finally got the results and it was just a 3rd degree sprain the step before a brake. They need all of us to pray for her and the rest of her family. They are not only dealing with this, the Guitar Man's hand, but the devil has been on the whole family with many other things lately.
They are truly followers of God because yes they let all of this bother them but yet they still find the positive in everything. They are such an inspiration to me and my family. We all need to continue for strength and healing for their entire family.

What Love means to a 4-8 year old....
Slow down for three minutes to read this. It is so worth it.
Touching words from the mouth of babes. A group of professional people posed this question to a group of 4 to 8 year-olds, 'What does love mean?'
The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined See what you think:
'When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love.' Rebecca- age 8
'When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different. You just know that your name is safe in their mouth.' Billy - age 4
'Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other.' Karl - age 5
'Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your French fries without making them give you any of theirs.' Chrissy - age 6
'Love is what makes you smile when you're tired.' Terri - age 4
'Love is when my mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip before giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK.' Danny - age 7
'Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more. My Mommy and Daddy are like that.
They look gross when they kiss' Emily - age 8
'Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents
and listen.' Bobby - age 7 (Wow!)
'If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you hate,' Nikka - age 6 (we need a few million more Nikka's on this planet)
'Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it everyday.' Noelle - age 7
'Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still friends even after they know each other so well.' Tommy - age 6
'During my piano recital, I was on a stage and I was scared. I looked at all the people watching me and saw my daddy waving and smiling. He was the only one doing that. I wasn't scared anymore.' Cindy - age 8
'My mommy loves me more than anybody You don't see anyone else kissing me to sleep at night.' Clare - age 6
'Love is when Mommy gives Daddy the best piece of chicken.' Elaine-age 5
'Love is when Mommy sees Daddy smelly and sweaty and still says he is handsomer than Robert Redford.' Chris - age 7
'Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left him alone all day.' Mary Ann - age 4
'I know my older sister loves me because she gives me all her old clothes and has to go out and buy new ones.' Lauren - age 4
'When you love somebody, your eyelashes go up and down and little stars come out of you.' (what an image) Karen - age 7
this one 'Love is when Mommy sees Daddy on the toilet and she doesn't think it's gross.' Mark - age 6
'You really shouldn't say 'I love you' unless you mean it. But if you mean it, you should say it a lot. People forget.' Jessica - age 8
And the final one
The winner was a four year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife. Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman's yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there. When his Mother asked what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy said, 'Nothing, I just helped him cry'
When there is nothing left but God, that is when you find out that God is all you need.
Take 60 seconds and give this a shot!
All you do is simply say the following small prayer for the person who sent you this.
Heavenly Father, please bless all my friends in whatever it is that You know they may be needing this day! And may their life be full of Your peace, prosperity and power as he/she seeks to have a closer relationship with You.
Amen.
